Thursdays 7:30 pm, at St. Peter's Lions Marina, July 9 through August 27
Please join us for some acoustic sessions as we embark on our 20th summer of hosting open jams. Visiting players are invited to sit in with locals for our traditional circle jam. All genres of music are agreeable, we may have a Celtic influence often but we have a lot of country, blues, folk, bluegrass, old time, Appalachian, Cajun and rock & roll enthusiasts. Singers, listeners and dancers welcome. This is a family friendly event. No admission charge. Free-will donations gladly accepted. BYO refreshments.
Special Concert featuring PianOcean
Friday July 31, St. Peter's Lions Marina
This summer KitchenRackets, along with Village on the Canal Association and St. Peter's Lions Marina, is pleased to present a special music event on the closing weekend of our Nicolas Denys Days festival. PianOcean is Marieke Huysmans, a singer/songwriter/pianist and sailor from France. Her sailboat is equipped with a piano – a sound stage afloat. She has been performing in European ports for over a decade. This summer is her first musical sailing tour to North America and we look forward to welcoming her arrival to the Bras d'Or Lake. She will be joined on stage by local legend Roger Stone, and we have a super opening act with 'The Boys': Jordi Martin, Luke Boudreau and Kyle LeVesconte with a traditional Celtic set.
More details will be posted as we get closer to the date. This family-friendlyevent will run from late afternoon through early evening. All welcome. There is no admission charge. We will have BBQ burgers and hot dogs and soft drinks available. 50/50 tickets will be sold to help fund the event. As always, free will donations will be gratefully accepted.
